| | As I am sure many of your remember all those news stories about toys being recalled due to lead being used to paint or make them. It was terrible having to rush around the house checking to make sure that your child did not have one of the tampered items lurking in their bedrooms or toy box. I even remember two Christmases ago several mom's made the vow to only buy handmade items for their children and family members. This was a good thing for not only the parents to know the products their children were playing with were safe but also for small business owners who make these toys and other handmade items (ie. clothes, hair bows, cloth diapers etc.). This new law is there to protect our children but the problem is that it is too broad and will force small business owners out of business.
I planned to launch my hair bow business this year, but if this law passes I will not be able to sell my bows online or any where else.
